Hi.
I just got the BD 390 and have so far had a few probs.
The most recent is that I am trying to play a few episodes of a TV series. The files are MKV x264 and I can play all of them on my PC.
But the LG skips over a few files (i.e episodes). Or to be correct, it plays a few seconds of the files and than skips to the next, like it thinks that the file is just a few seconds long.
No error message or anything.
What can this be?
(Lates firmware loaded)
Thanks!

The 390 is coming onto 2 years old...old in Blu Ray player terms. Have you tried the files on the newer LG players like the 560, 570 or 590? MKV playback is spotty at best and you are at the mercy of the original encoder. Usually, a skip means the file is broken. This can be caused by CRC errors (file mismatch), missing bytes, missing frames, etc. I don't have an LG, so I can't check but you might go and have a look at the LG site to find out what the latest firmware fixed (or broke). You might also want to check the owners group at avsforums. Good luck....
