I have a Sony VCR from 2003. I love it. I can record one channel and watch a second channel.
Suddenly, I went in to program a show for recording, and the only channel showing is channel 1. I tried to make it go up or down, and nothing.
What could have happened?
If it is truly dead, what can I get to replace it? My TV has a coaxial cable and I really want to be able to record a different channel from the one which I am watching.
Thanks,

Most like you lost your local channel programming and need to go to your vcr setup screen and rescan your channels,if that doesn't work then your vcr is faulty.Remember to set it to cable if there's a setting for air/cable.
I think,therefore i am a hamster.
