  1. I processed a MKV file with Gotsent and usually it works fine but for some reason with this particuliar group's releases there is no sound but the video and subtitles turned out fine. When I used MKVExtract it said the audio file was an "A_VORBIS". I can't find any explanation for what could be wrong or if there is some way to fix it. I used EncodeHD but it won't process the subtitles and I tried XVID4PSP but it runs so slow and downgrades the video too much with adding subtitles.

I was wondering if there was some way to fix the audio problem.

    Thanks.

    What is your audio problem?
Do you mean that the original file plays OK with sound, but when you've converted it the sound has disappeared?

Well, can you play OGG Vorbis audio?
ffdshow can do it, for instance, if configured to.

Use Graph Studio and do "File/Render" and choose your MKV and see what is trying to play the audio.

  4. Yes the file has audio in MKV form but after it has been processed by GOTSENT there is no audio. The subtitles are there and the video is fine but there is no audio. When I look at GOTSENT processing the file it seems to recognize the audio and doesn't make any error messages.
