    Hi

I have tried both the following software Boilsoft Video Splitter and Doeasier Easy Video Splitter, for some reason unknown the video footage will not appear in View Window, but i do have sound.

I'd be so grateful if someone could tell what the problem could be?

    Thanks

Can you play the video in windows media player? If not you might have to install a decoder/codec.
What is your source? Container and video codec.

Or try avidemux. Free splitter that support most formats.

First, you need to determine which codec is required. Download GSpot from the tools section of this site. It will tell you what type of media file you are dealing with, as well as what codec is required to play it. Thereafter, you can download and install the codec (usually found right here in the Tools section of this site).

If you're doing processing or editing, follow Baldrick's advice about AviDemux.
