Hi, I am trying to create my first VCD and have a few questions about generating the final file. I have successfully captured the audio and video into (what I think is) a VCD compatible mpg using Power VCR II. Next, I imported the file into Adobe Premiere 6.0 and used the timeline to cut out the commercials and drag the resulting clips together. Now comes my question, how should I export my project to result in a high quality VCD compatible movie? How long should I expect a 45 minute movie to take on a P3 550 with 256mb of RAM and a Kyro II-based 64mb video card? How much disk space will I need? I have probably around 5GB available. I tried a couple settings and Premiere said it was going to take 2 days to export! That seems a bit ridiculous so I was hoping someone could help. Thanks in advance!

You could use premiere and tmpgenc or any other mpeg encoder.

Frame serve from Premier to Tmpgnc should do the trick.
That's what I do. Try reading the help section on the left,
get the appropriate programs, try it out and post if you
have problems. -
Thanks guys. Baldrick, your method worked wondefully. That's how I'm going to do it from now on.
