I have successfully exported one of my 18 minute videos - straight video no transitions, same audio track from camcorder recording. Exported -no problems, plays fine as an avi.
Now I have a similar video, 22 minutes. Rendered it. It just has edited audio (all on one track) and 5 or 6 video segments. No transitions or anything else special. I go to export timeline to movie. Goes fine all the way up to 33000 frames out of 39000 total and stops. Gives me my avi preview of the movie and always ends at the same time.

How do I increase the frames allotment and export all the frames up to 39000? i need all 22 minutes on my timeline, not just the first 18 minutes 56 seconds. I even tried cutting up my original project and export the first 18 minutes and then making a new project with just the last four minutes, exporting that, and then opening a new project and adding both avi's and then exporting that, but it still ends at 33000 frames.

It sounds like a 4GB limit FAT32 problem, 22 minutes dv is 4.8GB while 19 minute just about 4GB.

So are you exporting as dv-avi ? And your HDD partition is FAT32? Then you must either split it two avis or convert your partition to NTFS.

Thank you for your response. Although not the direct answer, it clarified where my problem is and indeed it was something to do with the hard drive's partition. I just simply found someone else's computer that was able to do exporting larger than 19 minutes (by past performance) and it worked! This internet posting stuff is just amazing. Thanks for your help.
