  1. Every time I try to convert an AC3-file to MP2 using BEsweet GUI,
the program stops and come with an error (Win XP error "Send report bla bla bla). There is nothing in the error log.
What can be the problem, I use the guide on Doom9.
Is there any other program for newbies that can bring the Divx AC3-file down to a SVCD?

  5. I found this on Doom9:

    Can I have a VCD/SVCD with AC3 sound?

No. VCD only support 2 channel mp2. SVCD theoretically supports MPEG-2 multichannel, however there's no Windows software to make these kind of audio tracks. There's some Linux software but before you install Linux I suggest you read the my thoughts on the format.

    Whats this all about?

Yes you can have mpeg2 5.1 on a svcd but that is not the same as ac3...and it won't work on most dvd players and/or surround audio receivers.

www.labdv.com has a guide how to make a such svcd....but you need vip account to access that site now.

  9. Now I have managed to convert the AVI with AC3 sound
    to a mpeg.
First i used Virtualdub to save it as *.AC3
then BESweet and converted AC3 to WAV.
And the TMPGEnc to convert the AVI and the WAV into a Mpeg2.
It plays OK on my PowerDVD, but when I try to burn it using NERO,
it says that the file is not compatibel.
How do I burn this file?
