Hi guys
I have a friend who has starting using a HD Video recorder for work and uses a 64gb P2 card to record them to. He wants to be able to use the card on his personal laptop to view the recordings, but when we've tried to install the P2 drivers and P2 viewer (from the Panny website) his laptop just will not recognise the card. I'm assuming the P2 is a normal type PCMCIA card? Is there anything we need to install specifically to allow him to access it? We tried it on both his Vista laptop and my Win 7 laptop. I assumed it would plug and plya and just show up as a normnal drive, but we can't get it to acknowledge it at all.
Many thanks

no. p2 cards require special readers. like this.

the camera itself can also be used.--

Ah, he said they had a device at work that reads five cards so that must be it. So the only way he'll be able to connect it to his laptop is by connecting the camera itself via USB2/firewire? Or copying the files to an external drive.
Thank you, btw! -
you're welcome, and yes.

Blimey! Yes, not cheap! They're provided by his work though so at least he doesn't have to fork out!
