i have a canon hg20 60gb hard drive and would like to copy/transfer to my mac.
what is the best way to do this. i am new to all this and would like help, thank you.

If you recorded to an SD card, plug it into your Mac or use a card reader to do so. If you recorded to the HD, plug the camcorder (using the USB port) into your Mac and drag over the clip files. According to the specs on Canon's webpage, it shoots AVCHD so, depending on the format it actually is, the files will either drop directly into iMovie (versions newer than v6) or may have to be converted to something that may be edited. ClipWrap should be able to do this. Please advise how it goes.
