I have used AVStoDVD to create a DVD structure of TS_AUDIO and TS_VIDEO and VLC can play this structure from my hard drive without any hic-ups.
I then I have been using DVDVideoSoft FreeStudio to take this structure to put the movie onto disk. I have been using thus utility because it seems to be the simplest to use after the TS structure is built. The reason I do this in two steps is I want to check the build to validate the sound/video are ok throughout the movie before it goes to disk.
I also want to say that the DVDVideoSoft Free Studio software says the amount of data is just slightly less than the capacity of the disk I burn which is consistent with what AVStoDVD creates for the TS_AUDIO/VIDEO structure.
My disks seem to get built just fine and my problem is with playback. When I play from either my Laptop, Desktop or Home Entertainment players the video freezes around the same spot every time. It is interesting that I can restart the disk and hop past the part where it freezes and the disk will play fine thus giving me the impression it will continue to play until completion.
Am I burning my dvds wrong? The file manager is able to see the TS structure on my burned disks. With a store bought disk the file manager sees nothing at all.
What might my problem be?
