  2. Try plugging your sound directly into the sound card. You will probably have to adjust the sound levels but it should work. Thats what I do when I use Vdub. It was the easiest solution, there may be others......but it worked so I stoped looking.

  3. do you hear the audio in virtualdub? it may not be activating the pass through from the ATI card. also check the yellow speaker recording volume levels and make sure the right one is selected (i.e., wherever your ATI plugs in, either line-in or an internal one)

  4. Make sure you have DirectX 8a and the Audio/Video AddOn
installed. Also, the latest versions of ATI DVD and Radeon drivers. I had the same problem and that fixed it.

    good luck

  5. I had the same issue when I setup Windows 2000 on my system with the Radeon AIW.

MMC would capture video and sound. Virtual dub wouldn't.

Double click on the little speaker icon down at the bottom right of your taskbar. Go to the options menu and select properties. Click on the "Recording" button of the "Adjust Volume for group". Then make sure your "Line In" box is checked. It probably isn't.

You can leave your audio cables plugged into the purple break out box too.
