Today i was recording a tv show which was a live audio concert and everything was goin on smoothly until some time later it started raining there and for some time the live telecast was stopped and the channel showed no signal...i was recording thru the software chris tv 4.99 in mpeg format...and my recording was on even when the channel showed no signal...then 2 mins later the telecast was resumed and everythin was workin well again....
now after i finished with the recordingl....i m astonished....the recorded file has audio only for the first 2 mins...and after that no audio at all.....the picture is there and perfect but no audio at all....i cannot understand why is ther no audio....
even while recordin...in d preview window there was proper audio...neat nd clear....but the recorded file has no trace of any sound after the first 2 mins ....
i cannot belive....ther was rain at that place...nd even after that the audio was clear in the preview windowl....but why then there is no audio in the recorded file...i js cant figure out !!
for details :
i use christv 4.99
the recorded file has the extension .mpg.....720 by 576...25fps....16:9 aspect ratio....
the recorded file is of 23 mins and 1.24 gb
pls help...i donno what to do now....can i repair the file with some tool or sometihin to get the audio back....??
and one more thing...the file played well in vlc media player obviously without audio...but in some other players....it played only for the first 2 mins where there was audio...and after that no audio no video...unlike in vlc where i atleast see the video...
pls help....i m in desperate need of the file with the audio....all your concern and help will be whole heartedly appreciated...thanx![]()

Make a copy of the file and then try repair it.
Use for example videoredo and use the quickstream fix and see if makes any difference.
Or demux the audio from the mpg with tsmuxer, batchdemux,, etc. Open the mpa audio in audacity and see how it looks like. -

i tried videoredo and it just makes the output file till first 2 mins which has the sound...after that it js stops and i get this as the output
