    IT seems that Youtube has recently changed a few things making all of the other downloaders not work... any suggestions?

  3. Does Youtube download really enjoyable?
    i mean video resolution and audio streams.
    i would rather encode clips by myself to suite my test of quality and i think there are plenty of other options where you can get source file with very high, repeat very high quality which make you enable to encode video clips with 5.1 surround sound.
    just think of better options than YouTube.

    PS: if you watch YouTube videos in FullScreen you will notice the difference and can see clearly what Quality means.

    I use ... CometBird 3.6.2 ... and Bitcomet 1.09 ...

    I use it mostly for downloading those other video files ... that are not available on YouTube.

    It also allows you to search for the video, preview it and download the one that you want.

    StreamTransport has worked for me, although I had to stop and restart it a few times at first before I finally got it working correctly.

    Have you try Tunebite to download and convert youtube videos?
    That's the tool I'm using it and it's pretty cool because I don't need two tools, one to download and one to convert the videos. So, with Tunebite I can download the youtube videos automatically in the formats I need: avi, 3gp, mp4, mp3 and other audio and video formats. Of course this is not just an YouTube Downloader, but you can download and capture any video from any streaming online movies or video website and of course it can convert the files to the desired formats.

  13. I use DownloadHelper, but here's a handy tip if you don't:

    -> Change the "y" in the video's youtube URL to "3", and go to that address.
    -> Download video.

    Easy, huh?

    streamtransport does. I just downloaded it and it works downloading difficult videos that wouldn't be downloaded with other programs. I recommend it as the other poster did earlier.

  17. I recommended StreamTransport in the first reply of this thread. In my last post I was pointing out to jimhoofd that RealPlayer will not "download any streaming video file on the internet."
