    Hey folks

    I've got a serious problem. I've read all the help files and tutorials on how to make Divx movies to VCD and adding subtitles but I still cant overcome a major problem. I'm not able to track it down and I do everything as I've read. The mpeg1 file encoded by TMPGEnc 2.53 (with VFP plugin installed) is w/o subtitles. I'm running Virtual Dub 1.3d (I'm now downloading 1.4d and 1.4.9 if that makes any difference at all), with the subtitles filter plugged into Virtual Dub, and installed handler. When
    I'm previewing the movie in Virtual Dub using the subtitles filter everything is perfectly fine. I'm starting the server to pass parametars to TMPGEnc, but after opening the .vdr file into TMPGEnc and hitting the start(encode) button I dont see any text!!!! The mpeg file is encoded w/o subtitles!! Why?? I get mpeg layer 1 movie as if I wasnt using virtual dub at all and it doesnt generate the permanent subtitleinto the movie?!

    And I'm downloading now Vobsub 2.09 if that makes difference,will try it.
    And downloaded the latest Virtual Dub just now.

    computer configuration:
    Pentium4 1,4GHz;
    256RDRAM;
    Geforce2 MX 400 64MB;
    huge harddisk
    some creative 5.1 soundcard..

    Thanks in advance!!

    p.s. I searched today the forum for subtitles in the last three months(i'm new to the Divx stuff and subtitling) and I realized that people had/have problem loading the .vdr file. Once you save it in Virtual Dub (at least in 1.3d) you have to add the extension .vdr explicitly,otherwise the file would be w/o extension and thats why TMPGEnc is complaining.
    p.p.s. Huge thanks to Arminio Grgic for his program SUB to SSA and his implementation of the character set required for southeastern europe folks! Great work dood!
