  1. Hi....I realized this might be a real easy ?, but I havent figured it out yet. I capture VHS through my ATI Radeon at 720x480 mjpeg. I then used CCE to encode it to mpeg2. But when I playback the mpeg 2 on my hollywood card, the left and right ends get chopped off on the TV. How can I fix this...I tried changing the playback settings in the DVDstation controller, but didn't have any luck...Is there something I'm missing?

Also, whenever I use CCE to encode at something other than the full resolution (i.e. something like Standard VCD settings or 1/2 DVD) my mpeg looks horrible...It flickers and is full of blue squares...Any ideas why this is happening also?

    Thanks for any help

How much is chopped off on the TV? What happens if you play the MPEG with a software player?

  3. Truman,

Looks like theres ~5-10% of the total picture clipped off from the right side and about the same amount clipped off from the left side. When I play on a software player, it's all there. In fact, when using the Hollywood DVDstation player, when I click on the Monitor-to-TV playback button, everything appears fine on my monitor....It's only when I try to output to my TV that I'm missing the sides.

Hope this info helps. Thanx again
