Can anyone of you learned folks on here tell me whats happening with my dvd ripping and burning. I am ripping a commercial DVD "to make a backup for myself!!" using DVDSHRINK and creating the usual VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS files on my hard drive. I then BURN the files onto a blank DVD using IMGBURN's WRITE FILES/FOLDERS to DISC option. BUT when i come to playback the DVD on a standalone DVD player, the disc will not play........I can play them using the PC, but not on a DVD. I have done this many times in the past and havent had this trouble before.......Has anyone got any ideas, I can only imagine i have a setting checked somewhere that i shouldnt etc etc. Any help is much appreciated!!!

ever thought of the commercial DVD having copy encryption protection? well it prolly has some sort of copy encryption protection on the dvd which you'll need to use software that can bypass it like DVD FABHD DECRYPTER or ANYDVD.

Since you use DVD Shrink, them to burn them to DVD using Imgburn you must use the build feature of Imgburn. Down load the directions for Imgburn and use the build instructions. I use this all the time and everything comes out just fine.

antoinette and lbjohnson......if you don't know for certain what you are talking about.....please don't post.
When used normally (right out of the box so to speak)....ImgBurn does not leave discs unfinalized and there
is ZERO need use build mode anymore. ImgBurn knows what a VIDEO_TS folder is and reacts accordingly.
So please stop confusing the issue.
    Thank You

  9. last suggestion for those who use DVDSheink.
DVDShrink 3.2.2 offers a feature to rip DVD to ISO file. I always use this one and burn through ImgBurn.
I never faced a problem either in PC or a stand alone DVD Player. It plays very well.
