    I have an MP4 file that I am trying to process with Vegas pro 8.0c When I insert it I get the sound but the image remains black. What is a possible solution around it?

    The Mp4 file is 864x480 - 24fps

    What video codec? Identify using mediainfo.


    You could try reconvert it to an avi with mp4camtoavi first.

    Do you have Quicktime? Try version 7.4.1
    I had a similair problem, the issue was the newest Quicktime version.
