  1. this was my 1st bluray disc burn a tester 25gb
have made mkv to dvd dl that play on my ps3 and bluray before no issues

converted mkv to bluray using tsMuxeR_1.10.6
    burnt files with image burn
insert bluray in my samsung bluray takes 16:9 and stretches it full screen hence people are real tall and skinny

either case went back to pc checked mkv all good, checked m2ts still black bars, inserted bluray into my lg BD burner and in powerdvd it is stretched same as bluray player

not sure where it is screwed up

being the mkv is a bluray rip I asumed was compliant resolution 1900:800

Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

  3. thanks for comment but still is little help I take it is not
I do not understand why the native ratio of a bluray that was ripped to mkv would not be sutable playback shrugs

I have yet to find what ratio it needs to be but hate to renecode if that is the case ill leave it in m2ts and play it that way

  4. The source file was *cropped*, making it non-compliant.

Use uncropMKV to fix it, then remux in tsMuxer as Blu-Ray or AVCHD.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

  6. is there a program that can do it in less than 3 hours ? (edit vhq 8 hours??????)

not sure why someone would crop a rip whats a few more gigs when its end size is 11-20 gb
either case it was a test and if need be I can uncrop it when i sleep
does this in any way kill the high quility of the mkv?

    mkv looks great at 11gb

  7. Any re-encoding using a lossy compressor will degrade quality. But it's probably not going to be enough to notice at that file size/bitrate, assuming an average length movie and a consumer HDTV. If you do you're imagining things.

The only MKVs I deal with I make myself. I can't for the life of me understand why people insist on cropping commercial movies for their media centers. The advantage in file size is not significant enough to go to that much trouble. [shrugs]

[EDIT] AFAIK, uncropMKV is the best tool for the job. Run it overnight if you think a few hours is too long.

AVCHDCoder is faster than Multi-AVCHD when using Multi-AVCHD's higher quality modes. For most titles you can usually get away with 2 pass fast in multi-AVCHD, which is about the fastest encoding mode with good quality.

  10. about time this thing is done
now it added black bars to the sides that where not needed shakes head
    was already 1920x816
now its 1920x1080 but added bars on top bottum wanted on both sides not wanted
since it was 1920 why would it shink the screen and add black bars to sides shrugs wasted 18+ hours

in player it works fine on pc it has the bars shrugs

I am guessing you chose 2 pass very high quality or something similar. Two pass fast is usually good enough. A mediainfo of the source file might explain the addition of bars.
