Has anyone successfully made a multichannel MPEG audio file from a Dolby Digital WAV file (created from an original AC3 file)? I think I read somewhere on doom9.net (or maybe digital-digest.com) where theres a tool that can make Dolby Digital WAV files. I actually tried it once a year or so ago and got what said it was a 5.1 WAV file, but I never really pursued the possibilities after that. The information was related to making a Dolby Digital audio CD from this multichannel WAV file.
(Note: Please dont get confused; you can't make a standard VCD with a Dolby Digital soundtrack -- thats not what I'm getting at ....)

I was wondering about that, too.
I do have a Aureal sound card with digital output to my digital amp. Will my amp succesfully encode it as a true 5.1?
