When I tsMuxeR with 6ch audio I get no audio play back with my PC software (VLC, WMP, Others) and no audio in my Blu Ray Player.

It only ever happens with 6ch audio but what I dont get isn't that the same as 5.1ch? I have a few.mkv files that I would like to put onto Blu Ray Discs but cannot without the audio.

I have tried playing around with eac3to but that programme confuses the hell outta me!

What is the problem? Am I missing a codec? I have K-Lite codec pack as well as FFdshow plus others.

Check the non-working video with MediaInfo and see what audio format and specifications it shows. Maybe AAC? You may have to configure ffdshow for playback. If you have a bunch of duplicate audio codecs, they also may be interfering with each other and causing problems.

eac3to confuses me also. 6.1 and 5.1 and 2.0 AC3 should all be compatible with each other.

I cant work out why I have no sound. Do you think I must just have too many codecs installed. And when it come to FFDShow I not really sure what I am doing with it if anything at all.

  4. Start -> All Programs -> ffdshow -> Audio Decoder Configuration -> enable E-AC3 and AC3 decoders. That will work for any media player that uses system installed decoders. For VirtualDub you need an AC3ACM (the older audio system in Windows) decoder.
