  1. A neighbor recently made a DVD on his iMAC system which I and most other neighbors can play with no problems on either our DVD players or PCs. However one neighbor doesn't get audio on his DVD player. PC. He gets audio on his DVD player from any/all commercial DVD movies. This must be a setting of some kind on the DVD player. Can anyone suggest a solution?
    Thanks

  2. The audio is probably MP2 or DTS which is not compatible with all DVD players, you can use MediaInfo to see what format it is.

Is the audio within these specifications?: 48000 Hz, 32 - 1536 kbps. If so, it should play as those are the regular DVD specs. (From 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper left on this page.) It may just be a problem with his player with reading the disc. Try making a copy of the disc, using ImgBurn and a (Different) good brand of DVD media, and see if it plays then. No matter what you do, some burned discs and some players don't always work well together.

    And welcome to our forums.

  5. Thanks for your post. Yes the specs are correct. I've actually made several copies trying to resolve this issue but am now convinced the issue is some player setting because they have no problem playing commercials DVDs.
    Thanks
