    So, i have Tom and Jerry DVD collection ripped to an Xvid file. It is an hour an 30 minutes long, however it contains a ton of shorts (5-10 min each)... i was wondering what is the best way about going about splitting all those into separate ones? OR adding chapters to this file so that I can skip between them on a standalone DIVX/XVID player?

    If your dvd player is divx certified you can make a .divx with chapters. Try for example DivXMediaBuilder or DivX Author.

    Or cut it with avidemux, set start and stop, save as avi, repeat for all episodes.
