    Hi all,

I have tried different tools for adding chapters to a 3GP file. Do you know if such a tool? And how is it done?

    I have MP4Box (YAMB).

Do you know of any videoplayer that supports chapters so that I can verify my chapter markers?

Please, dying for some help on this.

    regards,
    Fredrik

AFAIK chapters are NOT supported in 3gp which is a mobile streaming format

AFAIK the only way is too chop the video into shorter pieces before or during the conversion, then number the pieces

I do not know of any mobile device that supports chapters in 3gp format

some devices will stop and let you restart at the same point, many will not. but there NONE that i'm aware of that are programed for chapters

i've done a lot of 3gp 3g2 video, none of my tools have settings for chapters

I actually know that there will be mobile phones supporting ID3 chapters within 3gp container. And my problem is now to create content for testing this and also to verify that my test content is correct.

well then you know more than many of the rest of us.

I have no idea, how you are going to implement this without programing your own player

because AFAIK there is not ONE available that checks for this

When these phones appear, support for encoding and tagging them will soon follow. Until there is a need, however, support will be thin on the ground.
