I usually use DVD Decrypter, Windows or DVD Fab, none of these have worked on a dog training DVD Im trying to copy. The drive just whirls and gives up. DVD Decrypter reports this error:

dvdfab clone clones the dvd in around 2mins, windows reports the size at 4.7gb, yet try and copy any data and it says you need another 200gb. Within the folder video_ts all the files (some 791) ammount to 419gb...on a dvd

    How do I copy this?

Ive since tried Handbrake, AnyDVD and WinMX, all of which crash. Tested on 4 separate DVD drives, 3 different PCs - just wont do it.
WinMX reports the disc has the new copyright protection on it (same as Transformers) but when trying to rip just crashes. Here's the error msg from AnyDVD:

speaking of Anydvd, did you actually check all 4 points that is mentions?

if you open anydvd status window, does it show you disc information?

I'm seconding lordsmurf's suggestion. It is highly unlikely that such a disc would have some of the better copy protection methods on it. Not impossible, but highly unlikely.

plus training day is an older movie (2001), most likelly bad disc, or in poor condition.

No, anydvd doesnt even finish scanning the disk, it simply reports this error:

    [img]http://i41.tinypic.com/212fldt.jpg[img]

I think you can rule out a bad disk, simply because this happens on another 3 dvds by the same production company, all recently purchased and played once..

well, try cleaning the disc, if it still doesn't work, then the disc is damaged, nothing else can be said about it.

Again, the disc is clean and newly purchased, plus this happens to another 3 DVDs from the same production company, so its not damage.

Try opening DVDDecrypter back up in IFO Mode....turn off all of the other stuff(like AnyDVD)....and uncheck the last cell then rip.....see what you end up with.
....and don't use the laptop TSSCorp drive....

If I remove the last cell it only copies 94mb of data
there's also like 90 vob files, really screwed up as the dvd reports at 4.7gb yet try and copy it to your desktop with windows and it says its over 400GB

  14. is your anydvd up to date, and have you tried dvdfab , which would need anydvd disabled (exited) ?
Could be the dvd drive, try a friends with the free dvdfab.

  15. Try this:
Open the DVD in PowerDVD or VLC and see what title is playing, then use DVDFabDecrypter in Main Movie and select that title.
If you can't play the DVD on your PC then something is wrong with the disc, possibly bad authoring.

IMHO sounds like the dvd drive you're using isn't reading the disc....sounds like your drive is failing....test those dvd discs in another drive.

well Ive tried this on another pc and same issues as above. Using VLC results in a successful play only.
Some files copy, some wont via windows. Perhaps its a bad burn after all.

the OP is not trying to rip "TRAINING DAY", he (she?) is trying to copy a "DOG TRAINING" video that has been burned onto a TYG03 disc.

you are simply getting read errors because the production company producing these videos is doing a poor job. the discs are unreadable and you should send them back.
