    Hello,

    So when I am capturing from my Sony DVW-500 d-beta deck, in FCP I get these weird random blue dots appearing over the screen.
    Could this be because the videoheads in the deck need to be cleaned?

    Is this an SDI connection? It should be a bit for bit identical transfer.

    Hmm I'm not sure to be honest.
    I know I'm using a Kona2 card.
    It seems like it recently got worse. I haven't changed any of the connections.

    The Kona is probably connected SDI (single coax for video and audio).

    Try calling AJA suport.
