    Hello

Trying to capture a PAL Beta tape feeding it through a Sima Go DVD CT-200, which claims to convert from PAL to NTSC. However, I can not get a signal to pass through the GoDVD. When I plug the Beta machine straight into capture card, then i get a fuzzy b/w signal, but the GoDVD isn't working for me. Anyone ever tried this or any experience with GoDVD converters? Does it matter what kind of Beta machine I have, like PAL or NTSC? Thanks!

If it is a PAL tape then the player must be able to play back PAL tapes. If it is an NTSC only player then you won't get anything useable off a PAL tape.

Maybe someone in the Betamax group can help:

Of course, you can buy a PAL Beta machine, but then you'd have problems with electrical voltage and such.
