Not sure if I'm wishing but I was wondering if there is a free CD/DVD program that allows you to back up PC games?

I have a few games that I would like to have around for a while and was hoping to be able to have some spare copies just in case something happens to the copies that I have.

    Thanks for any help

Thanks, before I go and give it a try do you know if it will fit the game onto a 4gb disc or possibly even multiple disc's?

  3. No, I don't, but with discs costing $0.30 or less each, you can experiment without much risk.

You might also consider reading the Help and/or any instructions that come with the program.

This gives you an overview: http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/alcohol_info.php, which was available by clicking on the link in the original link I posted.

The program states that it works with PS1 and PS2 games but not PC. Regardless what it said I still tried the trial version and it was a no go. Besides that it is a pretty nice program.

First off, PS1 & PS2 games, just because you mentioned those, even though it will make copies of the games, as will dvd decrypter or pretty much any cd/dvd copy program, they will only play on a MODDED console.

You can not just make a working copy of a console game.

The same is true for a pc game.

It is VERY hard to make a PC game backup that will actually work without a fixed .exe or some kind of hack.

And if you have a DL PC game, all you have to do is copy the contents to your HDD, then split the files across 2 SL dvd's.

But without a fixed .exe or some type of hack, you will still have to use your original disc's in your drive to verify you have the game and play it.

    EDIT:
