    ok, my problem;
    i downloaded "steve-o's don't try this at home" video. it says svcd in the file name, and it's in bin/cue format. so i burned it with fireburner. i got a few folders, one contains "avseq01.mpg". i assume this is the video file, it is the largest. now, i've tried doing what it says in the faq of this site. but i can't get tmpgenc to load it, says invalid. i don't know what to do. i'm sure at least someone has had this problem before. thanks for any help.

    did you try and run it as MPEG file? I have had problems with bad labels once. I download a movie only to find out it was a FRENCH movie with the same name.

  3. i suggest that you download "isobuster"
    http://www.ping.be/vcd/isobuster.htm

    then go to the directory on the SVCD where your av-mpeg-file is.
    then rightclick on the file and select "extract but filter only mpeg-file"
    there you go u have your mpeg file on our hd.

    i did what you said force, and i was able to open the file with wmp. it's 480x480 resolution. the problem now is that, the audio is out of sync, by at least 2 seconds. if i try to convert it with tmpgenc, it can open the video, but not the audio? so now i'm at a huge loss. ideas?
