Tscv 0.84 1 won't recognize my burner but 0.82 sees it.

Any ideas as to why version 0.84 (1) can't see my Imation CD writer when version 0.82 and VCD easy both see it and work ok? Also how do I install the 0.84 (2) update. I can download and open ok but it says I need numerous files (including tmpgenc etc).... these are there already in my version 0.84(1)
