    Hi
I've captured videos with the N95, the files are MP4.
There is a problem if I add those videos to Vegas, the problem is that there is no audio.
First there wasn't video asswell but after installing Quicktime it worked, but the audio isn't there.

I think I've done this earlier without converting those MP4 files (before my reinstall XP).

    Codec

    Video: mp4v
    Audio: mp4a

  2. What is the exact audio format in the N95 videos? Use mediainfo

That's weird, I've upgraded Quicktime to Pro but still there isn't audio.
Now you have audio I'm sure that before my reinstall it worked without converting.

  14. I'm not sure... I have ffdshow installed, but I don't think vegas is using ffdshow to decode audio (the icon doesn't pop up) , I think it uses it's own internal decoder and quicktime splitter

You shouldn't have to do this, but a workaround would be converting the audio to wav and importing it separately

Yes, VLC can play it fine (without the need of codec pack).
Vegas do can edit 3gp file with audio and video.

The file format can't be that crazy, they are just MP4 videos that I captured with the N95.

Quicktime plays it fine. But I've already installed K lite basic and ffdshow or doesn't that have an effect on Quicktime?

i've never installed a codec pack - i would guess it could be causing a conflict or has a bad codec. ffdshow is fine.

I had the same problem and realized the only thing that has changed was updating iTunes (which installed a newer version of quicktime). Reverted back to the older version and all is good again. Not sure what apple did but I am back in business now.

  25. I had same problem, Canīt import mp4 from N95, I solved this by installing Imtoo MPEG Enconder Platinum, and converted every .mp4 to .dv, that worked great! just took seconds to convert.

Sorry I haven't posted the solution here, I was busy and have all forgotting it.
I did what mhawth said and installed the old Quicktime setup.
The problem was then solved. The latest Quicktime was the problem.

Better install the old Quicktime, then you don't have to re-encode

  27. Oh!! Thank you very much Abas, I will try that, seems so simple...

Adding something to my previous post, I need to say that after converting to .dv formta, I loose few space from the bottom and the top of the video, donīt know why, then, I will try the previous QT version.
