    Hi,

I've have multiple MPEG2 files that i want to join together, and have used MPEG Joiner to do this.

The problem is that the total length of the final file is only 10 seconds and not 52 minuites as it should be. It seems that the final file has the length of the first clip only.

I did manage to join all my files together using TMPGEnc v2.5 which corrected the time issue but all the audio was gone!

Have been trying to sort this out for ages...

Any help would be really appreciated.

Mpeg joiner just merged all files without adjusting the header correctly. You could try fix that file with tmpgenc, under file->mpeg tools choose simple multiplex and choose the mpg as both video and audio and make a new mpg. The joining part in tmpgenc 2.5 is very buggy.

Or try real good mpeg joiners like videoredo, tmpgenc mpeg editor, mpeg-vcr. But they aren't free then.

  4. I am having sucess with Mpg2Cut2. I am ripping mpeg2 from vob, trimming the ends and saving the edited clip as a single file. After I have all my clips trimmed, I join them using file - append file in the order that I want them, and save that as a new file. The author appologizes for what he calls "rough cuts", but the joins are perfect in my final video. All this without having re-encode the file. SA-WEET!!
