First time poster, but I've been reading the site for a while. Tons of great info. I have a bit of a newb question, but only because this is the first VCR I've owned with so many outputs.
What is the recommended method for hooking up the 1980 to a capture device, the BNC or SVID connector? Also, since there are two other outputs, can I connect one of them to my TV so I can monitor the feed? Finally, where if anything, do the coax connectors come into play?
My main concern is the loss of quality by possibly splitting the signal to both the TV and capture card, or it that even an issue with these models?

If you want two displays, sure, BNC>composite adapter, composite to TV. No loss.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
