vob2mpg, 1st try, two different machines, neither work

Hello, i just purchased VOB2MPG because i am looking to burn all of my massive DVD collection to hard-disk, it is not working, on two of my boxes, so it must be something i'm doing.


I am in IFO mode, i put a dvd in my burner, i hit start i let it run through its process after i hit start, it extracts, i open it, and it is all pixilated and audio is also chopped up, that was on my p4 3.2 so, i take it to a completely different box, try it on this one, same exact problem, there is NOTHING that is the same on either of these boxes, p4 is XP, my c2d is win7, same result on both. The only thing they had the same was klite codec pack and i duno if that would of messed it up, so i uninstalled klite on my c2d box but the problem remains.

Please help what have i done wrong.

if it's a commercial dvd you need to de-crypt it, as they are copy protected and vob2mpg only works on non-protected sources.

**edit ok that was it, for some reason in the states this is legal, but also illegal another set of our glorious laws that contradict each other yay, why the hell can't i make an ondemand system for my library, why would that even be considered illegal, in the least little bit?

Googles helped me out with my previous question, little program worked gloriously. As for vob2mpg it seems to be working gloriously. sounds is synced with video and all is well

fair use came first, then dmca. so you can legally make a copy of your owned dvds, but can't use anything to do it legally.

the u.s. is mightily screwed up at this point in time.
