Toshiba sd-k780 DVD player does not play DivX

Hi all!

I resently bought Toshiba sd-k780 DVD player.

On many websites it says that it plays DivX, also on videohelp.com it is marked as a DivX player, but it displays: “wrong format”, when you insert a data DVD with a X-Vid DVD rip (AVI) movie on it.
Any ideas?

Capability now includes DVD-/+R, DVD-/+RW, VCD, SVCD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3 playback I don't see anything about Divx support
