Today I tried to make a VCD with VideoWave 5, It created a .DPA file just fine, but it would not burn to disk..?? There was an option for this, but I couldn't check it. Then I downloaded Ulead DVD movie factory (demo version). It made a .ixa file, when I get to the step to 'Select CD recorder' I don't have any options. I also tried Sonic's Video Factory (I own it), and it gives me a message: 'searching for CD device'...then nothing after that.
I'm thinking none of these programs are seeing that I have a CD-RW??
Athlon 900, WinME, 640mb ram.
My CD-RW is a LG CED-8083B
Thanks, Jon

You will have to first erase the cd-rw using Nero.
Go in recorder menu and select "Erase Cdrewritable"

Well, I'm talking about my CD-RW drive, not the disk. I'm trying to use an imation blank CD-R to record a VCD.
Thanks for the link, there was some talk about formatting? I don't have to format anything, do I?
