I have several wmv files each totals around 300 mgs - they are of programs about 30 mins in length; so I'm trying to make a dvd where I can put like 10 of these shows on 1 disc, and play each individually (like when you get a season dvd of a program) - so my total space used for all programs is around 3 gigs - that should be enough room for the encoding I think (I have both sony dvd architect and sonic) - but it seems that the software is not permitting more than like 60 mins or something total on the whole dvd - if I put one file in - 30 mins in length and 300 mgs - it shows that I've used like 2.4 gbs in space - it goes over when I put the next file on - I don't want to run them simultaneously - why will the software not allow me to put these programs on one disc if the space is well below the 4.7 gbs of the dvd? How do I turn off the length restriction? Help is much appreciated -

That's 3 gigs of WMV files....but you will never get that to DVD as a playable DVD. You need to do some SERIOUS reading.

my question is, is it about the file size or the length? if it's the file size then I will just compress it so it's much smaller - but if it's going to stop me because of length that's something else -

and I'm willing to do "serious reading" if you give me some suggestions as to where - thanks.

I haven't used DVDA is a long time, but there is an option to fit whatever you have to one disc. What it does is lower the bitrate.

It's best to feed DVDA mpeg2/ac-3 files, but it will take whatever and transcode it.
