I have an m2ts file, used convertxtodvd to make 5 vobs, then combined vob in Womble to get one mpeg. The sound is fine in the mpeg but when I go ahead in author the dvd in TMPGEnc, about 3/4 of the way through the video I lose sound. Can someone help me trouble shoot this?

Try skip the womble step. Tmpgenc dvd author / tmpgenc authoring works can import dvds(choose to import dvd or similar). And maybe latest tmpgenc authoring can import m2ts and convert those.
