Screen Cap from video

hi
how can i capture pictures from videos in high quality without losing any?
because when im capturing with km player using Ctrl+e
the pic quality is terrible
and im picturing from hd movies
how\which player can i do it without losing any quality

Powerdvd has done well for me. What format is km player saving them in? It may be the container, as opposed to the player. I find that *.png is best.

You may find MediaInfo handy for checking the attributes of your captured stills. It works with .jpeg and .png format and most others, besides working with most video formats. If you aren't capping at full screen resolution, that may be your problem. Easy enough to compare the video info to the capped info. It will give you much more info than Windows Explorer.

the container is mp4 and i even that im saving it as bmp
and in full screen resolution it still doesn't the same as seen in the video
