hi to everyone and thanks for your help. First of all I'm sorry if my english is quite rude. My problem is I'm going to do a Film Festival of Medium films (between 30 and 60 minutes). I have the original dvd's on VOS. I can't extract the subtitles with Subrip neither virtualsubrip... so I made a ssa with the spanish ones and with virtualdub I made the new avi (after demux) adding resizing and subtitler filters. There's been a problem, all the dvd's (except one from Korea that is on 720x480) are on 720x576 and the whole proccess makes a file retaliating some of the image (the same width but another height), and I don't know how to solve it. My second problem (and last I hope) is that the technic from the cinema told me that we have to compress the videos with the h264 codec and make a .mov not an .avi. I downloaded a codec pack but there0s no h264 codec.

    1. How can I put the h264 on my filters oin virtualdub?
    2. What's the matter with the image retaliating on the multiplex procces?

    Thank you for your help.

Virtualdub can only output to AVI. You can use x264fwv for encoding H264 into an AVI container.

    Welcome jogonan

1: Resize 720x480 to 720x576 by adding black bars top an bottom ... one problem solved
2: Mpeg steamclip supports mov with h264 ... encoding task solved

Issues with the korean title ... NSTC format ... spain being pal ... ask this technician if the frame rate difference will be an issue

How did you perform the subtitle ripping process ?

    Bienvenido, jogonan.
retallar = resize in English. "retaliate" means something completely different.
