  1. Hi

    I have just Done a Reinstall of Xp on my childrens system....I am having problems with the video drivers not working or showing as not installed on the sytem properties/drivers tabs..I found out(or have been told) that i need to know what the mother board is and reinstall or download the appropriate video drivers...this is where i am stuck!! I have no idea what the mother board is and where to find out the make! If this helps the system is A Old Hewlet Packared desktop Model a 1009 Uk..Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction as how to solve this please?

  3. Thanks Hech..Usefull little piece of equipment..So..........I found out Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.80GHz but googling i cant find video drivers!Maybe im just having a "I cant find anything day"

    Nope, it wont tell you anything while the device drivers are not loaded.

    And by the way you'll find all the drivers here

    I'll make a suggestion or two which should keep you safe in future

    1: Download ALL of these drivers now ... and put them onto cd for safe keeping.

    2: Grab a copy of Macrium Reflect ... you'll never have to go through a "whole" re-install from scratch again saving you time and money (unless the hard drive quits)

    Normal ...

    Clean xp install, activated, printers, ect ... make master backup image before installing any anti virus product.

    When using backup always install an updated av product before reconnect to the net.

  6. Hello hech54..yes yes it did "Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.80GHz" Well thanks to you both the problem is fixed and im going to use the "Macrium Reflect" idea..
