    Are those features available on MPCHC? If yes, how can I use/enable them?

    * fast-forward ~5 seconds with the keyboard
    * resume a video from the point being stopped even after playing another video (and having multiple resumes after stopping at multiple files)
    * automatically play another video which ends with the incomer letter/number (for example, play xxcd1.avi and right after play xxcd2.avi, or play xxa.avi and right after xxb.avi)

    These little tweaks are really going to help me!

    In MPCH, select "View", "Options", "Tweaks". You can then enter small, medium and large jump distances in ms. 5 seconds is 5000 ms.

    Then, select "Keys". You can assign keys for "Jump Forward" and "Jump Backward" in small, medium or large increments.

  4. resume: no
    automatically play the next sequentially numbered video: no. But you can use it's playlist feature to queue up multiple files.

    If you don't mind the extra steps, you can use the Favorites menu to bookmark your position in a video.

    When you're at a position in a video you want to bookmark (probably should pause, just to be safe, of course ), select Favorites > Add to Favorites...
    Make sure the "Remember position" checkbox is checked, before creating the Favorite.

    Later, you can open MPC/MPCHC, go to the Favorites menu and select the bookmark you created. It'll automatically load the video (assuming the video hasn't been deleted/renamed/moved) and jump to the spot you bookmarked, then play.
