I am currently using xvid 4psp. In every episode of the tv show I am trying to convert the voices and the audio are clearly out of sync I have tried to correct this to no avail. At this point I am just looking for a software that will compress the video and then convert it to MP4/PSP/Format.

I am just looking for advice on which program to use?

I have tried the sly Soft and Magic DVD Ripper. Ihave also looked up other way to dothis using freeware but none of them compress the video to make it smallerlike xvid does. XVID's Help forum was useless.

Please dont tell me about PSP 9 because it does the same thing. I am willing to use a pay for product. In fact i would rather use something that I paid for instead of the free ware since I have had nothing but failure from these products

But if any one can reccomend a freeware product that can do this that is not to hard to use please let me know.

    Thank You

I've used many freeware tools and I've got more than satisfactory results.

If you are trying to convert DVD video, then first rip the files to HDD.
Only then use a suitable tool (for example, Handbrake) to convert them to PSP.

Corel Dvd Copy 6 works well and has a psp setting. I use it to convert dvds to my zune. I have anydvdhd and I can rip and convert from dvd to zune wmv without ripping to the harddrive first. Anydvdhd decrpyts the disc while you are converting it to a diffferent format. You can use the standard def anydvd for regular dvds, the hd is for hddvds and bluray.

I have had great quality and little to know issues on synching.

to answer the question what format my movies are in. Some of my movies are downloaded copies. Some of them are DVDs. All of the movie I am trying to convert are in standard DVD format.

Are your conversions somehow using VBR audio? VBR audio is often to blame for sync issues.
