I apologize if this is in the wrong area, but I searched and couldn't really find anything on DVR's.

    My problem is this...

I have a few old High School Football games I had recorded onto my DVR. Well my DVR seems to be acting up and Dish Network wants to give me a new one. BUT...I want those games. So, I had purchased a Sony RDR-GX330 DVD Player/Recorder. I tried once to hook it up and after a few hours gave up on it. Come to find out later (After I unhooked everything) that I had managed to tape something.

SO...I tried again today and have no clue how I did it the first time. I know it records, I just don't remember how to set it up. I have the DVR hooked into the Sony (Line 1 In) and the Sony (Line Out) hooked into the TV. The TV only plays the DVR off of the Aux/Video Channel, but there is no setting for that on the Recorder. When I try to record on L1, it records a black screen.

    Any suggestions?

You have to connect your dvd recorder to tv thru an a/v connection such as hdmi,component,s-video or composite or you wont see any recording, unless your tv is ancient there should be another a/v connector in the back of the tv.
