I have divx and DVD version of the same movie.
I have only divx subtitle format(SRT).

How would I go about putting that subtitle to the DVD version?

And then you probably also need to resync the subtitles.

Another method would be to use vob2mpg on the dvd, load the mpg and srt in dvd flick or convertxtodvd and make a new dvd.

I tried it with the method one, it is completely out of sync, not even close.
Is it worth trying other methods?

I'm guessing that the subs are NTSC and DVD is PAL or vice-versa. There are some subtitle utilities that claim to be able to convert timings between NTSC and PAL so maybe that would fix your problem.

Can someone do me a huge favor, I need to merge these 2 sub files and convert the output file to srt.
I tried merging with vobsub but can't even open them(the second one starts at 00:44:26:00)
doing this would successfully solve the problem of this topic. I guess if you know what you are doing you can have it done very fast, but it doesn't work for me for some reason.
