First of all i would like to say i am a newbie to this forum and would appreciate any help that you could give me.

I recently got married and a member of my family used his Sony DCR-DVD92E to record the evening reception, he managed to watch the recording twice though the camcorder but when we came to put it on DVD the camcorder would not recognise the disk. I have managed to get an ISO off the disk and play it back though a player called MPlayer which is the only player I can find that does play it as other players do not find it as a valid file. I have tried Mencoder to convert it to a VOB or avi but it comes up with a slice mismatch after about 10:00 mins and crashes Mencoder app. I would like to get this recording onto DVD to show other members of my family and hoped somebody could suggest a solution.

    Many Thanks

if you put the disc back in the cam can you finalize it? most likely it wasn't done at the time. makes it hard to read. isobuster might work if you can't finalize it.

Hi i have tried to put it back in the cam corder but it only wants to format the disk. I have also tried to finalise it with iso buster but it does not seem work. It appers that there is some sort corruption in the file but the video data is there as i can play it in MPlayer. Any more ideas

    Thanks
