I lived in Europe for 12 years and purchase a Sony DCR-TRV20E (PAL) camcorder that I used quite a bit. I have now moved back to the US and would like to transfer the DV tapes (30 or so) to my computer and convert them to NTSC so I can stream them to my TV. I'd like to keep as much quality as possible. Does any have a good write up on how I can do this?

    Thanks

Lots of software can do this but it won't be efficient. You will have extra repeat frames, blurriness or jerkiness depending on the procedure.

The best way I can think of is with Avisynth.

Do you want to convert to NTSC DvD or NTSC DV?
I hate VHS. I always did.

if you are going to stream it from the computer you might want to leave it as 25fps pal. just capture the tapes as is and they should play ok.
