Most NLE software I know of downmixes 5 channel sound to 2 channel. They may "support" 5 channels, but only ones that are created artificially in the editor itself. If the videocam records 5 channels, and various Sony and Panasonic models do, one is out of luck.
Are their any video editing products that keep the 5 channels intact and allow one to export files or burn discs with the same native 5 channel sound?

VideoReDo and MPEGVCR don't change Dolby 5.1 audio during editing, but based on your question I have the feeling that you may need more functionality than those provide. MPEGVCR is at http://www.womble.com and they have some products that can author DVDs and such in addition to editing. Both products I named are editors ONLY.

You usually have to adjust the project properties/settings to not downmix by default
e.g. in vegas you would change the master bus mode in the audio project properties to 5.1 instead of the default stereo. In Premiere Pro, you would change the sequence settings master audio to 5.1 (instead of default stereo). Another approach would be to import as mono wavs
Which NLE are you using?
