    I installed Movica but it seems to be crashing on me. I am using vista 64 and I think maybe Movica was designed for older an OS.

    Try asfbin, which is free. However, since I do not now and probably will NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES run any version of Vista, I cannot personally guarantee that it will work. But it costs nothing to try.

    Windows Movie Maker ? Not great, but free with Windows and works well with WMV (if nothing else)

    Thanks I think Windows Movie Maker is working just fine. Actually, asfbin helped in trimming for which Windows Movie Maker couldn't do. At least I couldn't figure it out.
