folks ... I just ripped a Video file off a DVD using DVD Streamclip ... but when I went to the video file, it played the video without the audio

I went back and checked the original video file on the DVD folder and it too, it turns out, plays without the audio

however, when I play the DVD using a regular DVD player, there is no problem and the audio/video files play together

can anyone help me figure out what the problem could be?

    thanks

  2. Use DVD Fab decrypter (free) or AnyDVD (payware) to rip the DVD first
Then convert the ripped files to your format of choice

  3. You probably don't have an AC3 decoder installed. Try a player with a built in AC3 decoder. Like MPCHC or VLC.
