  1. I'm new to the vcd making idea and need some help. I made a vcd with nero and was satisfied until I wanted a menu with music and decided I didn't want the gap between the tracks.

I downloaded TSCV v.084 but I needed a driver (couldn't activate cdrdao). I downloaded the driver and was about to install it but didn't. This is a brand new computer and I didn't want to go installing and uninstalling things that I really don't know much about. I uninstalled most of the programs, the only two I kept were TMPGEnc and Nero.

My question is this: Is there a program that I can download that will encoded, burn, and has menu with music support or at least some program that is capable of working with TMPGEnc and Nero (and is also capitable with winXP) withought having to install new drivers? I don't mind downloading other programs, it's just when you need to replace drivers to run a program.

Any reply would be deeply appreciated.

  2. You already have all the necessary programs.

TSCV is just a GUI to VCDImager and CDRDAO. If you don't want to use the CDRDAO side of things (the burning side), then you don't need the ASPI driver.

You can still use it as a GUI to VCDImager (i.e., VCD authoring). This will output a CUE/BIN image.

You can burn CUE/BIN images with Nero (but I normally don't recommend it). Assuming that you've got a recent version of Nero, it will probably be okay.

Alternative methods of burning CUE/BIN images are here:
